Road Trips…

a time of fun memories with loved ones OR a time of wanting to bang your head against the dashboard

What makes a good road trip you ask??????

1. Snacks - Don’t overlook the importance of good snacks.  Have balance of sweet and salty and healthy and junk.  LOTS OF WATER.
Roadtrip29.jpg2. Playlist - The music sets the tone for the whole trip.  I made a playlist that is full of sing-a-long classics, alternative crowd pleasers, and occasional pump up jams. Follow me on spotify to get the playlist!

3. A Good Audio Book – I absolutely hate reading in the car.  Headache central.  Listening to a book is a great alternative.  Unbroken is an amazing story and Chris and I have been absolutely captivated by it.  It’s a great book to listen to on a long road trip.
unbroken4. CONVERSATION - Pivotal part of a car ride.  I like to bring the game table topics along.  However, if you do not happen to have the game just look up on your phone some fun talking topics. IMG_0363

5. LAUGHS - Pandora stand up comedy stations are THE BOMB. (yes I just said the bomb) Listen to Jim Gaffigan, Gary Gulman, Brian Regan, John Mulaney… Etc.  Good laughs with everyone the whole trip.

Sawtooth Adventure Co.

My family vacation continues with…
The Sawtooth Adventure Company
sounds amazing. I know.
An hour or so North of Sun Valley is the small town of Stanley Idaho.  Year round residency of 60 people.  The winters there are known to be the toughest around.  The people who live there have to be some hearty individuals to handle being alone for that long.  Okay, enough with the sadness.
The summer.
Beautiful
My entire family of Seven kayaked the Salmon River together.  With our handy dandy guide, Rob, of the Sawtooth Adventure Co.  The Sawtooth National Forest is a sight to see.  Yet, getting to experience it with my whole family while on a quiet river was indescribable. There is something about Idaho… living close to the Earth and getting in touch with where things come from.  There is a great feeling that comes with visiting there if you pay close attention.  So far Idaho hasn’t disappointed.

HOME

i’d really be a happy girl if my favorite guy came home.
can’t wait to visit Idaho again.Rigby, Idahonever thought i would fall in love with a small town boy.
Chris grew up in Rigby, Idaho, and I know you probably have never heard of this place.  Aside from the fact that the television was invented in Rigby, I love the town because that is where the Georges live.  A town that only has two stoplights.  Contrary to Chris’ small town upbringing this boy has big town dreams.  So proud of all the hard work he has put into art directing and advertising.  I am so grateful to have this boy in my life.
XOXO
